Magical Night of Giving
Since 1998, Glimcher malls have presented "Magical Night of Giving", an extravaganza that kicks off the holiday shopping season by presenting exclusive savings and special offers at stores throughout each participating mall. Family-oriented activities and holiday entertainment are also event highlights. Many door prizes and a grand prize are awarded, too.
In order to receive the special discounts and sale prices, shoppers must present a special ticket. Local non-profit and charitable organizations sell these tickets in the weeks leading up to the occasion, and they keep 100% of the proceeds. More than $4.5 million have been raised since the inception of the program. Due to the success of this event, several Glimcher malls have extended the event into an entire day's- or even season's-worth of activities.
