Glimcher Realty Trust Announces Pricing of Public Offering of Common Shares

COLUMBUS, Ohio, September 16, 2009 - Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT),

announced today the pricing of its public offering of 26,666,667 common shares at a price of $3.75 per share.  Goldman, Sachs & Co. acted as sole bookrunning manager of the offering and KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. acted as joint-lead manager of the offering. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase 4,000,000 additional common shares.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, reducing the outstanding principal amount under its credit facility.
